GOALS and Objective of Research Plan:
1. Help students and families struggling with attention deficit disorder build a comprehensive educational plan, designed to increase their personal needs and ability.
2. Increase awareness and promote understanding for all students with add/adhd.
3. Provide classroom teachers with positive tools to help all stakeholders involved with the student. The ability to aid parents and guardians and identify myself as experimented during ARD meetings on all concerns of attention deficit.

3. Special education staff members volunteer questionnaire. Design a short survey containing 12 questions on topics pertaining to attention disorder.
To begin to develop helpful material to use at the conclusion of the project.

5. Meet with school counselors and sped dept head to compile the percentage of students failing semester standards.
Decide if the diagnosis of attention deficit failures are equally compared to non-attention deficit students. The data will be from the 2009-2010 school year.

7. Students will determine factors that have negative outcomes in the school atmosphere.
Create a survey that will help discover areas of concern such as class size, school resources level of school violence and conflicts.

10. Determine the significance of home life and family on the attention deficit student.
Compile data pertaining to home life such as, family involvement in schools, parent teacher communication, family expectations and parental education.

11. Observe popular methods of treating add/adhd students. Such as medications behavioral plans and diets.
Discuss treatment possibilities with a trained professional and school resources. Discuss these methods with the students in my study group.

  1. Sounds very comprehensive. Considering we just learned about the Delphi Method and the nominal group technique, perhaps consider using one or both of those to get some input from teachers on areas that need the most focus or to get some ideas on techniques or strategies that teachers use to deal with students with ADD/ADHD. Seems like a good way to get some collaboration.
