WEEK 4 ACTION PLAN

DEVELOPMENT OF A ORGANIZATION

The campus will be guided by the principal and the administration. The chief responsibility of the principal will be to provide instruction and training for the teachers and staff. They will also ensure that all classrooms are properly equipped and functional for the students to learn through technology. The campus leader must also evaluate and gain data from the Star report and have the ability to collaborate with all stake holders on the needs of the campus. The campus technology specialist will have the responsibility of meeting the demands given by the onsite administrator. They must continue to collaborate with SBDM committees and ensure the teachers are receiving proper training. Maintaining all records of equipment issued and overseeing all maintenance will also be included in the duties of the technology instructor and technicians. The classroom teachers will have the job of using the technology to instruct and create learning lesson plans with the use of the equipment. Classroom teachers will educate the students on legal uses of the technology and teach effective ways to use the equipment.


PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN

DISTRICT GOALS

The district will ensure that all staff members are properly trained on all aspect of technology to effectively educate our students. The district will provide proper equipment and training to promote learning through technology of the 21st century.

CAMPUS GOALS

All parties will learn, create, and develop technology projects to promote advancement of teaching and education among teachers and students.

OBJECTIVE

To increase the amount of technology used in our classroom by the students and the teachers. The objective will be to effectively use technology by all parties on our campus by June 2012.

TIME FRAME

SEPTEMBER 2011-JUNE 2012

NEEDS ASSESSMENT

*The campus leaders and staff will analyze the data gained from the STaR report to understand the needs of the campus.

*The staff will discuss the issues with all students during advisory, presenting the students with surveys.

*Develop training programs to help teachers gain the knowledge needed to effectively use technology in their classroom.

ACTIVITIES

*The ability for teachers to collaborate and teach each other on effective resources.

*Department meetings will focus on new technology tools to be used in the classroom that are positive for individual subjects.

*District technology instructors will help promote educators whom may need armature level training.

* Allow feedback from students to help develop future plans of needs.

*Additional training for administrators and department heads to on new campus technology software.

*Frequently evaluating and training staff members on software currently being used on the campus.

EVALUATING PLANNING

The evaluation will be developed to increase the use of technology in all aspects of learning on our campus including instructors and students. The goal of the evaluation is to effectively monitor the understanding and ability to use technology to enhance the lives of our students. Students will be able to correctly be able to trouble shoot and handle age appropriate software. The evaluation will be monitored by viewing the AEIS, AYP and grading cycles to ensure student success. The teachers will be monitored by studying the current STaR report and the data from previous years. Staff will collaborate with technology instructors monthly to discuss their needs.

Campus instructional staff will evaluate the plan by researching the data from multiple sources. STaR chart, department heads meetings, AEIS and AYP reports and feedback from students and educators will all be considered key topics in the evaluation process. The campus leaders will gage the success of their campus by comparing the campus to campuses state and nation wide that have similar demographics. The principal will continually monitor the campus to ensure we are in compliance with Long-Range Technology given by our federal government. Future leadership will effectively increase technology skills among all stake holders.
